1. Location, location, location. You’ll never manage to meet up if you live 45 minutes away from one another.
2. Keep it simple. Having sex at either one of your houses is perfect. Trying to find someone else for a threesome complicates things. 
3. Communicate. If one person starts to develop feelings, talk about it. It may be time to end your arrangement – or maybe your friend feels the same way.
4. Friends first and foremost. Being able to talk and have a laugh together helps to ameliorate any post-sex awkwardness. From time to time, check in with one another to ensure you’re both still enjoying the sexual aspect of your relationship.
5. Respect each other. Don’t bail on plans – if you said you’d go over, go.
6. Balance the effort. Spend equal time going to each other’s houses; it’s not fair if one person always has to do the laundry and load the dishwasher the next day.
7. Check in with yourself. If your friend reminds you of an ex, avoid shagging them as feelings may become muggy.
