The Bar Man

We’ve known each other for ages through family circles and have exchanged flirty messages for months.  We finally met up for a date a few weeks ago – right when I felt I had enough with guys and needed to inject some fun back into my life.  The date was so easy and knowing you’re a player helped me stay guarded and take this as a bit of fun.

I had no interest in being in a relationship with you.  Our arrangement was dates and hook-ups.  Our encounters happened on school nights; with frequent promises to get together at the weekend.  Then you disappeared and I realised the promises of a Saturday night were empty.

When we did get together again (on a weekday) you asked me what this was for me.  He said he’s fine just seeing each other once a week but would love to see me more if I would too.

Sadly, that was it. He hasn’t messaged since and whilst it’s not the end of the world because I had no interest in this being anything more than casual, the fact we’re friends makes his behaviour particularly rubbish.
