Lockdown has got many of us feeling hot under the collar and frisky between the sheets. To find out how lockdown has impacted our love and lusting, I’m getting intimate with interviews.
D (F), 33.
What is your relationship status?
Describe your love-life in one word.
Who have you been quarantining with?
My family, Zoom, the inner depths of my mind. My Yogis (via a screen) and food.
Has the lockdown impacted your sex life, if so – how?
No. If I still want to have sex I have it. Lots of people want to shag me but I don’t want to shag them.
Have any of your desires/fantasies changed during the lockdown?
No. I’ve always had the same desires and fantasies.
Describe your lockdown experience in three words.
Eye-opening, evident, creative.
What have you missed the most about ‘normal life’?
I’ve missed restaurants, co-existing in a space that isn’t home or the park and careless encounters with people.
What coping mechanisms have you adopted during the lockdown?
Good food, yoga, marijuana, parenting, being a mother is a huge coping mechanism for me. Cleaning, catching up with old souls and reading.
Has the pandemic changed the way you approach love and romantic relationships?
No. I approach life day by day; I may meet someone today and spend every day with them, creating a life. I have no expectations.
What are your hopes for love after lockdown?
Love is bollocks. I can give love to family, friends, animals and it doesn’t mean I want to shag them.
