Lockdown has got many of us feeling hot under the collar and frisky between the sheets. To find out how lockdown has impacted our love and lusting, I’m getting intimate with interviews.
George, 30.
What is your relationship status?
Single.
Describe your love-life in one word.
Wondering.
Who have you been quarantining with?
A friend.
Has the lockdown impacted your sex life, if so – how?
Massively; I would normally be able to see a friend-with-benefits.
Have any of your desires/fantasies changed during the lockdown?
No.
Describe your lockdown experience in three words.
Boring, relaxing, organised.
What have you missed the most about ‘normal life’?
The ability to meet a wider circle of friends.
What coping mechanisms have you adopted during the lockdown?
Keeping busy with hobbies, self-improvement (dieting) and increasing my employability.
Has the pandemic changed the way you approach love and romantic relationships?
Yes. Early on in lockdown, I spent a large amount of effort getting to know someone over several months, only for there to be no spark when we met. I was almost angry about how much time was seemingly wasted.
What are your hopes for love after lockdown?
I hope to be in a relationship.
