Love and Lust in Lockdown: A travelling man.

Lockdown has got many of us feeling hot under the collar and frisky between the sheets.  To find out how lockdown has impacted our love and lusting, I’m getting intimate with interviews.

Willy, 27.

What is your relationship status?

Single.

Describe your love-life in one word.

Messy.

Who have you been quarantining with?

My housemate – a coworker.

Has the lockdown impacted your sex life, if so – how?

Yes, obviously it was really non-existent at first.  But, after breaking the rules, it’s been quite good.

Have any of your desires/fantasies changed during the lockdown?

Um, yes, but just because the person I have met is more experienced than I am.

Describe your lockdown experience in three words.

Fulfilling.  Peaceful.  Desperate.

What have you missed the most about ‘normal life’?

Knowing you’re allowed to do something, like going out and not having the fear of driving in your car and being pulled over by the police.

What coping mechanisms have you adopted during the lockdown?

Absolutely none; I’ve been acting normally.

Has the pandemic changed the way you approach love and romantic relationships?

Not really, because of my work.  Before lockdown, I was always travelling with work and I don’t have much time at home so I’ve always used dating apps.

What are your hopes for love after lockdown?

Hopefully, as soon as everything is more chilled and the government eases lockdown, if I’m spending more time here at home I would love to get to know someone in a deeper way, like dating – that would be nice.
